I just bought a Samsung Galaxy TabPRO 4, stock Android 4.4.2 (no rooting/hacking of any kind).

In CC I defined all books of type chm (and pdf, djvu, cbz) to be stored in the 'CC KitKat special' external SD card directory. The chms show the 'no app' popup when trying to read. After changing the chm folder to one in standard main memory, I'm now offered Moon+ or CoolReader and all works as expected.

On my non-KitKat Galaxy Note3 (android 4.3), sending chms to any old directory on the external SD card works fine.
