I think it's going to be even longer; maybe never. At the time of writing, the only 'device' capable of handling this new DRM is ADE3 itself. Maybe, in some months, the latest and some of the older Kobo's may start supporting it, but for all other devices, the future seems to be unknown.
For now, I'll just keep using ADE2, because it has to receive old-style-DRM books, or it won't work. If Adobe and/or the sellers want to force the adoption of the new DRM, they'll have to prevent the use of ADE2, or they will need to support the old DRM forever.
