What's odd, when I read on the K3 (since sold), I didn't even notice the flicker. Or, if I noticed it, it didn't bother me. And I was used to using the Nook and the Kindle 4, both of which have the six page refresh feature.

I can believe the bit about the mirror. I've got a formerly mistreated Kindle Touch with a spot in the middle of the screen (where something was dropped on it) and that doesn't bother me in the least, but the scrapes on the bezel (in my peripheral vision) do bother me.
