I wonder if the battery has been drained for so long that it won't take a charge? Well, crud, I'm sorry to hear it. I had to let mine charge for quite a while the first time -- but I'm guessing you've already tried that.

As for reliability, I can only speak for my own T2 -- which I've had since April -- it's been rock solid.
