Sense does seem to be rather lacking when people choose sides on the internet debates. For some reason, some people wouldn't acknowledge that the Sun rises in the East and sets in the West if it meant acknowledging that the other side had a point. Ever noticed how some will simply shift to a different point to attack without ever acknowledging anything? IMPO, these discussions would be a whole lot less acrimonious if posters would simple force themselves to say "good point" or "You may have a point" rather than be in attack dog mode all the time.
