Taking my time and rereading Skin Game.
Man, what a book. On round two, I'm kinda noticing a few of the things that a couple of you folks mentioned
Spoiler:
ie. the broken arm being more of a plot device than a real liability
, but it's not enough to even make me blink, let alone think twice.
Just got to the part where Harry gets his new gun.
I had the great pleasure to fire a Smith & Wesson 500 a couple of years back.
WOW. I tell you, it's a LOT of weapon.
The thing is really heavy. Like rifle heavy. And the pull force on the trigger musta been like six pounds!
And the noise. I was stupid, and wasn`t wearing my hearing protection.
Seriously deaf as a post for about 8 hours.
You want an inflated sense of self esteem that only a gigantic revolver can provide? The S&W 500 has your back!
