Yes, I feel the same, though occasionally do go straight to the next in a series (I'm currently doing that with the Repairman Jack series, only on audiobook rather than reading). Anyway, I have started Doughnut by Tom Holt, which is looking like it's going to be the usual blend of humour and fantasy - good fun.
