I don't remember a English player i wanted to have in my team since Chris Waddle and Paul Gascoigne.

I think they overemphasize the physical side of the game but can't develop players with a good technical level. I rarely see a english player dribbling or paying with the ball. It is all pass and long pass and run and headers. In today's game that is not enough, specially if the other countries already closed the gap there was in the phisicality of their game. England needs to put kids playing football in tiny fields so they can't run and HAVE to resort to dribbling to keep the ball and get rid of opponents. I did this with my friends back in Portugal. We played in a tiny square on the medieval part of the town and there was no other option. No endless lawns. Only after 13, 14 you got to play in a big field. Plus doing tricks with the ball was cool, not frowned upon because it was not "objective" at that level.
