Pocket Sync

I've tried the Pocket app on my Aura HD for the first time today and I have to say it rocks, almost. I'm not a heavy Pocket user but I do clip articles that are of interest to me, especially on programming technologies I'm not familiar with. I have noticed one peculiarity that is annoying. The Kobo Pocket client downloads EVERY Pocket article that I haven't archived. I'm glad I only had a dozen or so that weren't archived when I first used it. I've had to change the way I use Pocket a little bit.
  1. Make sure I don't have a lot of unarchived articles
  2. If I want to read on the Kobo but the article is archived for whatever reason I can find it with my phone and unarchive it.
Some good (and not so good) things about the client
  • I can read just like I'm reading a book with page turns, font changes, etc.
  • If I archive an article on the Kobo, it's archived in Pocket.
  • Clicking a link in a Pocket article will open the browser appropriately.
  • The last Pocket article I was reading shows up on the Home screen.
  • Kobo knows nothing about Pocket tags.
  • I did have to reset the reader when it would not wake up after going to sleep.

My only real complaint (besides tags which I can live with) is that it downloads every Pocket article I have when it opens. If anyone knows how to stop this behavior (besides hitting "Cancel all downloads") I'd like to know.
