If you're referring to the Kindle Android apps, AFAIK, they're hard-coded to support only the default dictionaries.
However, you can outsmart the app by deleting the US or UK English dictionary and replacing it with a custom dictionary with the same ASIN. See this
older post for details. (You can test this method by replacing one of the default dictionaries of the Kindle for PC app first.)
You'll need to install
ES File Explorer to access the dictionaries, which are usually stored in one of these folders:
Code:
/system/etc/labdictionary/
/sdcard/android/data/com.amazon.kindle/files/
/Internal Storage/Android/data/com.amazon.kindle/files/
Note that I haven't tested this, because I don't have a Fire, but according to other Fire users this method works.
The usual precautions apply. I.e., before you mess with the file system make a backup of any files that you intend to replace or modify.
