As to changing the server, Kobo has a problem with that. They have just taken over all these Sony customers. These people will have devices that have not been updated to support the new DRM. From something that Kobo said on the beta list, it was always planned to update the Mini. But, I think the new devices just came first. The Glo kept being updated because it shared a lot much with Aura and Aura HD. The Touch wasn't updated for a while either.
