What are you actually trying to say? That we, free human beings, spend too much time doing what we really like to do... for instance preparing to do something really nice in the future?
That said: I read at least one hour daily, on my train to/from job. I would correct all those ugly things I see - but, outside the train, I've time only for essentials... whatever it is at the moment!
