The Fire Phone will be released on July 25, 2014, for ATT users. I have an ATT Samsung Galaxy s5 which has better features than the Fire Phone.
However, on July 25 I will call ATT to see if I could trade in my 2 year contract for the s5 and replace it with the Fire Phone. Even, if they say I could, I'll think about it for a while.
Amazon should offer a buy out from other phones if they want to sell this one. Otherwise, most folks will be stuck in other contracts.
In 2 years I will definitely buy the Fire Phone.
