For what it is worth I know, probably because of my age, a lot of people who have had knee or hip surgery, and so far all are happy with the results. Hopefully the hardest part is the waiting.

it's my second knee. the first one was botched and I have been in years of agony because of it. my first doctor labeled me a "seeker" (meds) and never, ever tried to find out why I was in so much pain, which turns out to be a hole in the bone under the prosthetic, loosening "glue" around it and the entire device constantly shifting

yeah, the more I get into it, the more I know some of the triggers came from YEARS ago and I've been working through all of them ever since
