I'm sorry to hear about the tech misfortune, Joan. Do you use Calibre at all? It might be easier to manage your ebooks with tags and shelves in Calibre and then if your device gets wiped, you'd still have the info on your computer.

I was thinking the same thing. But since I'm tech-challenged myself didn't know how to help, but Calibre sure would be the easiest answer in this scenario!

Gah, this is one of those series that I've had 'forever' and still haven't gotten around to starting yet.
Let us know how you enjoy the newest one so I know whether to add it to my wishlist or not!
On the topic of series not started, I've decided to try and finish some [most?, lots?] of the series I've started and am so behind on. It kills me that some have 5+ books in them and they're sitting there, waiting for me to get to them. So I made a list and started with my favorite authors and trying to approach it that way. I think this approach may be helping curb my new authors purchases also, realizing just how many are in my TBR pile and how much I'd looked forward to reading them when I bought them initially...some for months...
