It is not correct. The joystick is actually not really fixed by those pins to prevent it from moving sideways. The main fixation is by the rear cover. Those ribs on the rear cover are pressing on the joystick board and it is more than enough to fix solidly the part. You can rather break the cape, than move joystick from it place.
