Tag browser - use different sub-categorization schemes

Is there a way to set different sub-categorization schemes for different categories in the Tag Browser?

viz : Have Authors set to By first letter and Publishers set to Disable

At the moment if I select Publishers->Change sub-categorization scheme->Disable then that scheme is applied to all categories in all physical libraries.

One of my libraries has more than 3,000 authors, and less than 30 publishers. On that library I find By by first letter is the only viable scheme for Authors, but for Publishers it's the worst scheme, If I use Disable the reverse is true.

If its not possible, then would it be feasible to implement an enhancement?

It would be preferable if such an enhancement would allow different settings for different physical libraries, a'la Virtual Library settings.
