Seeing as how Marvin was taking off in a direction that doesn't fit with m wans/needs/wishes, I've pretty much ignored it over the past 10 or months. I did see several updates come by, so decided time to check up on one of my pet peeves.
First, the bug described here
https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...7&postcount=19 is still very much present.
Second, I still cannot switch between day/night reading without giving up control over how the book should look from _within_ the book (a.k.a the included stylesheet).
Plus other minor peeves making it annoying to use.
So, although not with much regret (since I hardly ever used it anyways after the initial getting acquainted) I've decided to discontinue it's use. For the record, I've switched to KyBook, has built-in TTS, multiple ways to turn a page (can even use two different methods and animations without switching in config, tap sides turns page as in a real book, and swipe just slides the page). Switch between having hdr/ftr on screen and true fullscreen.
Enfin. it got all what I am missing in Marvin. Sad though, it looked nice in the beginning, but the inability to have a consistent look/feel from one book to the next (via injected stylesheet on my part) and the ability to switch between day/night without giving up that control is too much of hurdle for me.
I won't be returning to read any replies and I'll leave my forum account active to not make whatever useful or useless stuff I posted inaccessible if that risk exists. Goodbye an Goodluck
