If you use the Audible application on your iPhone, and the book has WhisperSync enabled, then yes, it will automatically link and set the furthest page read as you listen to the book. If you sideload with iTunes software, then NO it will not sync at all.

That answers my questions! I suddenly realized I didn't know how to link up the Audible and Kindle books. I've never seen a pop-up on Audible -- and it didn't occur to me that it would handle it the same way as it does for the Kindles. I'll have to be sure to tell my 7 year old to expect that. Thanks!
