It wont push the update like a Kindle. It gives you option to download and you have to choose to install it.
I sent a support email to Scribd but they only work on weekdays.
It now looks like this on all books. I am going to have to read on my Kindle till it's fixed.
4.4.2 is fine it what I had. It's 4.4.3 that you want to hold off updating to.
I tried downgrading the app, reinstalling and nothing has fixed it. So it's a KitKat issue that Scribd will need to fix.
