It does, indeed, 'work' fine, but it's PDF capabilities are very limited. For someone who may be interested in reading in that format, they MAY be disappointed.

I don't read PDFs, so I encounter no problems.

I use mine when I want to sit down with the idea of holding something like a hardback in my hands.

Most ebook readers have moved on to touch screens. This old ebook reader does not have a touch screen. That may be disconcerting for some people, but for other people it may be a blessing.

It's a nice, cozy old-fashioned ebook reader with old-fashioned technology about 4 or 5 years old, made for old-fashioned people who like old-fashioned things. That would be me - but only sometimes, because I'm a bright flame burning heavenward in technological orgasmic bliss.
