But why would publishers demand that retailers move to CS5? All that will do is cause problems for end users and in that case, end users will say screw you and move to Amazon and then Amazon will be able to dictate any terms they want to the publishers and the publishers will have no way to say no. This is the publishers driving everyone to Amazon when what the publishers want is to be able to deal with Amazon on their own terms. But they won't be able to at all. So for all, it's a lose-lose except for Amazon. The publisher loses, the customer loses, and Amazon wins. Kobo goes out of business, B&N goes away, and we are left with Amazon for all our book needs. Thank you Adobe for handing Amazon everything on a silver platter.
