I do know about the rule; I recall when the issue came up and the rule was instituted. I thought it was dumb then, and still do.

I rarely bother to post links either, because heaven forbid I should leave in someone's affiliate link. Oh, the horror!

Who exactly benefits from the absence of an affiliate link? Amazon and BN and whoever else doesn't have to pay the affiliate. Gee, I'm glad the rule here is helping them increase their profit.
