It's against the rules. Apparently some people view them as ads and/or don't want to give any part of their purchase to someone who is an affiliate. So it hasn't been allowed for a long time. I try to mention books I really love and/or the big sales, but some of the auto-generated links are hard to parse to get the associate link out or I get lazy and just don't bother. Me, lazy. Who would have guessed???
