The Hugo voter packet has added either 47 or 39 items to my TBR, depending on whether I count the magazines or not, which I am undecided about. It seems a bit foolish to count a single short story and not count a magazine full of them, but on the other hand a magazine just feels like a different kind of thing to me.
I kind of count that as a semi-purchase, given that I paid for it months ago without knowing what would be in it, and my Worldcon supporting membership was only partly intended as a means of getting stuff to read.
Only about 10 of them are book length, the rest are novellas or shorter, so I hope I should be able to make good inroads in the next few weeks. For my TBR challenge, I only need to read half as many works as I gain, so I don't technically need to read any of the novels/collections.
Not added to my TBR were the Wheel of Time books, which I already own. These are just replacing pbooks for me, which I sorted out for recirculation last night. Oddly, I seem to be missing books 6 and 7 - I guess my brother has them, I lent them out and never got them back, or I borrowed them from the library - and 12 through 14 were already ebooks, but even so I am recovering 17 inches/43cm of shelf space, which makes me very happy. Yes, I measured the height of my stack.
