Anyone else find By it's Cover not quite up to Leon's Brunetti par?
At 160 odd pages it's shorter than her previous 22 in the series, but that shouldn't have mattered if it was well written and finished with her usual aplomb.
But I found it lacking .... in aplomb and finish. Anyone else find this book not up to par?

official website I'm unaware if she is well or still interested in writing Brunetti books and just pushed this one out to meet a publishing obligation and deadline or what ....
I mention if she is well because if she wasn't it would be a reasonable explanation as to why the book isn't written to her usual standard.
I'm interested in hearing from other Brunetti readers
