If you use Calibre and some plugins, the Kobo devices are far superior to the Nook. Calibre can automatically create and update collections on the device, which it can't do for Nook. That is an awesome ability. You may find the Kobo processes newly added books a little slower than the NST, but not a lot. I recommend the Aura or the Aura HD, depending on your needs.
