Small companies can live off small markets. Big ones can't afford to play in them for long. Which explains why Sony is getting out of ebooks: It's not worth *their* time and effort, though obviously it is worth it to Onyx.
Are you saying Europe and Asia are small markets? Or even teeny-weensy Germany?
