Which was OK. Some interesting nearly future space flight stuff, and a little intrigue and adventure. But I can't say I was ever concerned about any of the characters.

Now I'm reading Royal Assassin by Robin Hobb, the second in the Farseer series. Now here I have come to care about the characters, which is a problem because I can only see tragedy ahead.
