In the Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas. There are several pawn shops around here (Mid cites, north of Fort Worth) that sell Nooks and Kindles for about $30 or $25, but there's one specific one that (on one visit) sold three Kindle Keyboards at $10 each (one couldn't be registered, all had 3G, the two that could be registered, without ads) and -- later, two Kindle 4s (silver Basics in very good condition) and a Kindle Touch 3G with a spot in the screen and some scratches on the bezel, for $5 each. They were on "clearance" because "they didn't have chargers, weren't color and they couldn't be used to browse the web." Last time I was in they had a Nook Simple Touch for $25 -- and the guy told me to make an offer when I was looking at it. But I left that one and I'm kind of avoiding the store, so I don't get tempted to buy more. They're also sold on Craigslist around here -- often for $20 or $25. My brother picked up a WiFi Touch (in OEM lighted Kindle case) for his wife, for $40.
