They've been online-offline off and on in the past few days, and now half the website doesn't work. I don't understand. How hard can it be to dump your database once in a while, zip the code and put that in a safe place? It can be done automatically.
Then again, I have an el-cheapo webhost, costing something like $3 per month, which provides the service of daily backup, and a rollback to an older version of the site and database.... so I actually don't have to do anything. I only use the webhost for e-mail though, at this point.
I wonder why Delphi has so much problems getting their site back online after something goes wrong; twice. Somebody there needs to be fired. I work in the website business (designing and implementing backends for applications), and if one of the projects we host and maintain would go offline for two weeks, we'd probably be sued.
