I don't like the limitation with Amazon's version of apps that they periodically insist on connecting to the Amazon store (which requires WiFi) to check their licenses. OTOH, I have quite a few credits that I could spend there. I have mostly Kindle tablets, but we also have android phones, a nook tablet and a large and small samsung tablet. All but one are appstore compatible (the nook). The nook and generic devices are fine with Google, but sideloading on the Fires isn't a big deal (for me, usually).
What reader (other than the one ScribD forces on you) are you all using?

I buy from both but for the KF I buy from the Amazon store so I don't get a Google Licensing error. On my Nexus I use Google apps. I sideloaded Scribd from the my Nexus 7 backup. Free GP apps dont seem to have that error.
