I wouldn't replace your Fire with another Fire. The 2012 Fires are very good tablets. And all of your Amazon apps should work on a Nexus 7, with the exception of all apps that are titled "kindle fire edition." Those only work on Fires.

My daughters LOVE hidden objects game. They have 20 or 30 on their Nook HDs.
