Thanks for that information.
Something is still not correct about the time and timezone settings, although the UI shows the desired local time.
(The hardware clock appears to be mis-set and this combination, along with the "CST" (-6 timezone) will probably result in date errors.)

You have kterm running - -
Try:
touch /mnt/us/empty.txt
ls -l /mnt/us/empty.txt
( that option is lower case ell - as in: "long" )
And compare the date/time stamp used for the file system with what is shown in the UI.

The thought that I have in mind is problems with the display order of items in the user interface.
(The clock does not have to be "correct" - just monotonically increasing based on a fairly recent year.)
