Nope. I use my iPad Mini Retina for comics and browsing, but for novels I always read on my Kobo Aura. The dealbreaker is that it's far lighter and easier to handle. Also the lowest brightness is perfect for reading in the dark, whereas I can't get the iPad to a suitable level for comfortable reading in pitch dark, even with brightness all the way down and background colour tweaked (I can't read in 'night mode').
