You may want to pause and ask yourself these questions:
  1. How do all the readers know that these images are links?
  2. What happens on all those Fire devices, etc., where the image should be zoomable post-tap, but I've made it a web-link, instead? How do I tell them to zoom the image, rather than use the link, and vice-versa?
  3. What about the fact that if I've used Amazon webpage links, the user can't buy my book from that link, anyway? (Assuming that the cover links aren't going to your own blog, etc.)
  4. What happens when someone WANTS to click my link, but is on one of the millions of Kindle devices that don't have viable web-browsers? How do they know what the link is, that they wanted to use?

Just food for thought.
