The 1,000 series are 328 pages. Which is equal to about 13 Archie issues. After a few weeks, those go to being $1.99 a pop, which is $25.87 in total not including taxes.

So getting the 1,000's all together are like getting 40 of those single issues that would cost you $79.60 (again not including tax).

They are misleading, but that's what the volume numbers are for, and those of us that do buy collections like these, understand that.
