Congrats on getting the place.

I have central air here, but my bedroom and my office are in the sun almost all day so I also have a window unit in my office (which is ridiculous considering I have central air, but much needed). I also have my ceiling fans going almost constantly and have an oscillating fan in my bedroom for the nights that are really bad. If I have the A/C on high enough to cool my bedroom and office the rest of the house is too cold and the basement becomes a freezer (not to mention the cost ). I lived in Vegas for 20 years and though the central air did work more efficiently it's true that dry heat makes a huge difference. The humidity here just saps all of my energy. I hate it.
