I'm guessing that was in reference to the install process, not KUAL itself

.
I can indeed see how the thread *could* look a bit scary (or overwhelming, at the very least)

. (I'm guilty of the same 'trying to cover all bases ends up in a giant scary overly verbose wall of text' thing with the legacy hacks thread

[... well, I'd go so far as to say in general, but especially that one ^^]).
So, @Stunatra, if that was indeed what led you to that comment: you can basically sum up that whole thread in:
1. Jailbreak your device.
2. Install MKK.
3. Put the right KUAL .azw2 file for your device (meaning -KDK-2 for Kindle Touch/PW/PW2, the other one for anything older) somewhere in documents/
4. Enjoy!
EDIT: Hey, we're in the Fonts hack thread! So that could also have meant the whole fonts override thing through KUAL, which, yeah, granted, is a little clunky (and not terribly easy to explain in a quick & effective way), but not that painful once you get the hang of it.
And also hampered by the fact that the verbosity of this specific first post is *really* by design, because as I mentioned earlier, the safety nets are thin, so better be safe than sorry
