EInk readers will always be with us since folks like variety in their eReaders. However, numbers of sales may fall as many start reading eBooks on their smart phones.

I rotate my reading between my Paperwhite 2013 6" (eInk), my Fire HDX 2013 7" and my Galaxy s5 5". I hear the Apple iPhone 6s will also be 5".

I've heard rumors the last couple of years that colored eInk readers built upon Android operating systems will be with us soon as well. Its only the black and white eInk readers which may keep declining.

We may even get a color eInk smart phone some time in the near future. Amazon has yet to release their own branded smart phone. Maybe that one will have new technology which may include color eInk.
