That sounds very livable - I find the key is keeping the air moving, rather than lowering the temperature. I have cheap floor box fans in all rooms to keep air circulating - keeps the rooms pleasant and helps prevent humidity build-up. Even the cats like them. Stella cat insists on napping between the insulated drapes and the sliding glass deck doors - where temps can rise to over 100 F - we call it Stella's Sun Room - when she gets too hot she flops down on the kitchen linoleum floor in front of the fan and cools down.
