I've read Seamus Heaney's translation, and thought it was pretty good. I had read a Penguin Classic version many years before (can't remember who translated it), and I enjoyed Heaney's version much more. Heaney's book has the original poem on the left pages, and the translation facing it on the right pages. Unfortunately, I don't see how you would be able to duplicate that with an EPUB and an ereader.
P.S. I enjoyed the movie version that was shot in Iceland. They added a back story for Grendel and a bit of humour that seriously changed the demeanor of the book, but I thought it was a good modernization.
