Don't own a Kindly 4.0 NT yet, but thinking of ordering one soon. I'd be quite interested in extending the capabilities of the default software shipped with the Kindle 4.0 NT.

I tried searching the forums, but unsure of the keyword combinations. I did find the pinned thread about Kindle 4.0 NT thread regarding shortcuts, but I didn't find anything about hacks, or extensions / applets etc.

Things I am hoping to achieve are:
1. Calculator app
2. Note taking app
3. Books to read list
4. Small , simple 2D games - Tetris, Minesweeper etc.

Have no idea if apps can be programmed for the Kindle 4.0 NT and how such apps may be side loaded.
