The first two books in Martin Jensen's 11th century historical mystery series are the Kindle US Daily Deal today, May 23, on sale for $1.99 each. The titles are The King's Hounds and Oathbreaker.

These are the only two translated from Danish into English so far, but per the Stop You're Killing Me website there are at least three more in the series. I enjoyed the first two very much and am hoping the later ones will also get translated.

The series features Winston, a talented manuscript illuminator who can pretty much demand his own price for his work, and his companion, half-Danish/half-Saxon Halfdan. They end up solving mysteries for King Canute.
