covington, those reductions often happen because a) they aren't being looked at [and perhaps the seller is finally listening to their realtor and ready to be realistic with the price] so the more appropriate price is showing up, and b) with most systems, the general public doesn't see when an offer has been made and accepted which puts the house into a "pending" status, then it needs to go to inspection which puts it into a "pending inspection" status. inspections around here for a 1500-2500 square foot house generally cost around $300-$400, not a ton of money but certainly an amount that you want to pay to to protect yourself. many times people think they are ok with taking on a "needs work" house only to find out when their inspector comes in that "needs work" can be akin to re-inventing the wheel. so sometimes that big drop in price is reflecting that something fairly major, like maybe the roof, septic system, heating system.... so many different things are possible, have popped up as either much worse than the seller thought, or that the seller thought they were going to pull something over on everyone (quite often even their Realtor), and it was caught on an inspection and that amount is close to what those repairs would cost.

k, so my vent/rant... while professionally a good day, I am having a horrid night. bad day at black rock night. this is probably one of the worse pain nights I have had in a long long time, and unfortunately for me, I am still pretty damn lucid. the day seemed to go ok, or as ok as they have been,no major twinges. when I went to the grocery store on my way home I definitely felt the device shift again. 6 weeks ago before I had confirmation I would have questioned it, but now I know that is what the feeling is. last week I had been wearing my titanium custom brace that I skied with but thought maybe it was overkill. now I'm thinking I need compression AND that. I had some soft braces at one time, no idea where they are. I think I might start the day with some vet wrap under the brace at least and give my surgeon a call. this is really incredibly painful
