Did you give it enough time to sync your collections with the "cloud" ?
It may well have been busy, implementing some of the new "features" that Amazon/Lab126 has added.

Installing the jailbreak then **should not** have made any difference.
Ah -
but any device restart at that time might well have made a difference.

If you read it on the Internet, it must be true. Right?

Not required to un-install before re-installing.

And how many times had it been restarted by this point?
Did it still have an Internet connection to the "cloud"?
Had it finished sync'ing with the "cloud" by then?

Why?
According to this story, it is still jailbroken.

When I removed USB cable unpleasent suprise welcomed me again. Slugishness. You must understend that I did not attempt to install jailbreak and that I deleted those files from my root menu immidietely. Nth changed everything stayed slowed no where near the speed device had before...

I tried to reset it again... Unfortunately it did not work... Everything was butter smooth previous time I reset it.

What are my next steps? What should I do? Obviously this is cursed FW... Is there any way to downgrade it?
Your next step(s) -
Put it on external power (USB cord) so there is no chance of running down the battery -
Give it a solid Internet connection -
Let it just sit there, so it has a chance to empty its "to do" list of activities -
Just leave it alone.

Take two aspirins and call us in the morning.
