Would these be books that they pass around to each other? DTBs provide a connection between people that electrons pushed through the tubes can't. I've found that these kinds of connections have gotten weaker for me as I age, so I wouldn't be surprised if the young are the ones most into book sharing (that and they have the least spare cash lying around).
