I do like books set in Canada. I read a dreadful one set in Inuvik while I was living there and it was still interesting just for the place descriptions and the local customs/politics.

I used to live in cabbagetown in 1970. safest area in the city in some ways at that time. People out on their verandahs, balconies at all hours even in the winter. Probably different now.
