Seriously though, I eat/drink all the time while holding my tablet (8.9 Fire HDX) in the other hand and reading/turning pages (or read with it sitting next to my plate).
I use one of these click when I need both hands free for eating and want to be able to read on my paperwhite. They work great for the job and are both sturdy and inexpensive.
