The only reason I replaced my K2 was it was getting flaky. Moe than likely a battery issue but to expected due to its age.

There seems to be some hate regarding the DX on the forums as....
it's heavy ( yes it's heavier)
and slower (compared to my K2 I would say no)
the screen isn't as clear. ( my K2 was fine and it's the same screen)
The technology is dated. ( it's an ereader not a tablet)
The battery doesn't last as long. ( 2+ weeks is more than enough for me)

I looked for a used one first but on average the price was in the $130-150 range plus shipping and to me they weren't worth that when a new one was $199. So it was easy to justify the difference and i wanted the features the DXG offered. Mainly the speakers, keyboard and page turn buttons.

IMHO if you want the large screen find a nice used or refurb unit from amazon and enjoy a perfectly fine device with to me the only real drawback being its weight. Yes the tech is a few years old but it's not a tablet that's required to run newer and newer software that may or may not work anymore but an ereader that just needs to display books and an occasional PDF.
Thanks!when you said later DXG,you meant manufacturing date?
